Seminar: Blueprint Intrinsic safety

The structured intrinsic safety seminar for developers

Are you new to intrinsic safety and looking for a clear, structured approach to understand this type of protection?

Or do you already have experience with Ex i and want to deepen your knowledge, avoid typical pitfalls, and learn proven best practices?

This seminar provides a blueprint for intrinsic safety. It explains the fundamental principles of intrinsic safety, the normative background, and the specific requirements of the standards. Based on numerous practical examples, the requirements are discussed step by step, including typical challenges in development and practical solutions.

From €790 per participant

Aims of the seminar

The aim of this seminar is to provide you with the necessary knowledge and understanding to safely understand and categorise the intrinsic safety type of protection in accordance with IEC/EN 60079–11.

Using practical examples, you will learn to recognise the basic requirements, understand typical protection concepts and avoid common pitfalls. You will be able to transfer the knowledge you have acquired directly to your development projects and use it to design standard-compliant and future-proof devices.

You will also learn how technical documentation should be structured so that it meets the requirements of test centres.

At the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  • Confidently categorise the requirements of IEC/EN 60079–11

  • Understand and apply the basic principles of intrinsic safety

  • Recognise protection concepts and understand their requirements

  • Avoid typical sources of error

  • Select and dimension components

  • Develop initial approaches to check and create their own projects for compliance with standards
